Clifton College WebsiteTen steps to gaining admission to Clifton CollegeA guide for overseas parents and educational agencies. Making an Application- Contact the Admissions Department to check on availability.
- If yes – send an applicant profile including the most recent school report.
- If acceptable – complete and return the Registration Form with the £125 registration fee.
- Make an appointment for a visit and/or to sit entry tests (preferably at Clifton but we can send papers overseas for candidates to sit in agency offices under supervision).
Successful Applications- If the application is successful we will write a formal letter making a conditional or unconditional offer of a place. All offers are conditional on us receiving a satisfactory confidential report from the Head or Principal of a candidate’s current school.
- If the offer is accepted we will require (i) confirmation in writing from the parents, (ii) completion and return of the Acceptance Form and (iii) payment of the Deposit (£700 for EU, half a term’s fees for non-EU).
- When we receive the Deposit we will issue a receipt and send a letter that may be used to support visa applications.
Joining Information- The Joining Document pack will be sent to all new entrants in early/mid June. It includes arrival information, lists and order forms for clothing and information about guardians (it is a legal requirement that all overseas pupils must have one), music tuition, medical records, term dates, insurance etc.
- The Housemasters and Housemistresses also write in June or July with specific information about joining the boarding houses and what boys and girls should bring with them.
- In August the Accounts Department send out an invoice for the first term’s fees and details about the various payment schemes.
