French Exchange 2007

Fourth Formers and Lower Sixth Formers have the opportunity to participate in the French exchange with a school in Rouen with which we have links dating back 12 years. Rouen is one of the most attractive towns in France, and the capital of a region that offers many opportunities for rewarding visits, while being only two hours away from Paris. The Lycée Corneille is a school in the smartest part of Rouen which educated such luminaries as Flaubert, Maupassant Delacroix, as well as the two Corneille brothers. During the day we make trips to Paris and local places of interest, and students stay in families, who have always made our groups very welcome. The exchange is invaluable in boosting pupils’ spoken French, their confidence and their knowledge of contemporary France.
