Pupil Care

Pupil care is all about how we are looked after and making sure we are happy at school.

A strong three-way partnership between the school, the child and parents is at the very heart of a successful education, and we welcome parental involvement! Our aim is to provide a happy, secure environment where our dedicated staff are pleased to meet with you to discuss progress, to answer queries and to talk over any concerns.

A message book goes home with each child every night so that lines of communication are always open. In addition, we hold formal Parents’ Evenings each term, and we highlight annually a key aspect of the curriculum for in-depth explanation and discussion. Informal meetings and events, with parents and members of Butcombe and the Pre staff, are arranged through the Friends of Clifton organisation throughout the year.

The pastoral needs of your children are met by the enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated staff of Butcombe, both teaching and non-teaching members. There is support in the classrooms and playground from General Assistants and Nursery Nurses, whose familiar presence around the school environment contributes an important part to the well-being of your child.
